One Direction Lands a TV Show on Nickelodeon!

It seems that One Direction is following in the footsteps of their tourmates, Big Time Rush. In a Jonas Brothers-esque move, the British boy band has reportedly accepted an offer to star in their own TV show on Nickelodeon.

Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan, and Zayn Malik are headed to the small screen! 

"The rumors are true, our live-action slate does include a development project for @onedirection. Welcome to the family!" Nickelodeon Tweeted last night. 

But sadly, fans of One Direction are NOT happy with the band's decision to sign a deal with Nick, getting #1DPleaseDontGoToNick to trend worldwide. Avid listeners want the boys to stick to their roots and not follow in the path of typical boy bands nowadays by doing a TV show.

And to add to all the confusion, Liam reportedly Tweeted, "A show on Nick would be a lot of fun, but I think for now we want to focus on music."

Wait, so is the show a no-go or will the One Direction infection hit the U.S.? We'll have to wait and see.
