PETA was banned by Montreal officials from posting a billboard of the poster in a city square this week.

"I have to inform you that we, as public officials representing a municipal government, cannot endorse this image of Ms. Anderson," City Commissioner Josee Buzzkill Rochefort wrote to PETA (via E! News). "It is not so much controversial as it goes against all principles public organizations are fighting for in the everlasting battle of equality between men and women. OK! NEWS: PAMELA ANDERSON SAD TO LEAVE DWTS

OK! NEWS: TOMMY LEE SHOWS PAM ANDERSON SOME DWTS LOVE

"I think that city officials are looking at this lovely ad and confusing 'sexy' with 'sexist,'" PETA Senior Vice President Dan Matthews added.

Instead, Pam's poster will be unveiled at the city's Restaurant Globe on Thursday, which is privately owned, as part of a news conference for the Just for Laughs Festival.

Even with all the problems, Pam's poster sure is getting a lot of press!
