Peter Falk, 'Columbo' Star, Dies at 83

Emmy-winning Columbo star Peter Falk has passed away at the age of 83.

OK! NEWS: PETER FALK SUFFERING FROM ALZHEIMER'S

Through a spokesman for Peter's family, CBS Radio News confirmed he died the night of June 23 at his home in Beverly Hills.

Peter was best known for his role as Lt. Columbo on the hit police series, Columbo. He was also nominated for two Academy Awards for 1960's Murder, Inc. and 1961's Pocketful of Miracles.

Later in life, Peter suffered from dementia. He is survived by his wife Shera Danese Falk and daughters, Jackie and Catherine.
