PHOTOS: Britney's Got Her Grin Back

While Britney Spears was expected to be in court on Friday for a status hearing on her father's conservatorship powers over her career and finances, the pop superstar was instead out getting her nails done and stopping by Barnes & Noble to pick up some magazines. Perhaps it's for the best — Brit, who usually tends to put on weight and act a little... well, unusual... when she isn't busy touring or recording, appears to have maintained her touring shape, and she was smiling from ear-to-ear — and not speaking in a British accent.

Now if only she'd get that unruly hair under control!
