Portia de Rossi has filed a petition to legally change her name by taking Ellen DeGeneres' last name.

Portia filed papers in L.A. County Superior Court last Friday to legally change her name to Portia James DeGeneres, TMZ reports.
The petitions states the reason for the name change as, "Petitioner is taking the last name of her spouse."
