'Pregnant & Dating': Why I'm Actually Excited For This Wacky New Reality Show
You'd think that producers of reality TV shows have exhausted their minds when it comes to coming up with new ideas for reality shows. I mean, these days we have TV shows about overweight toddler pageant queens and people who are obsessed with eating the cushions from their couches, so...yeah. But nope, just when we thought it couldn't get any crazier, Pregnant & Dating happened.
The Daily Mail reports that WE (aka Women's Entertainment) is debuting this new show starting May 31 and it will center around five pregnant women who are all looking for Mr. Right. Yup, with their baby bumps. And you thought getting a dressed for a regular date was stressful?
The episodes will be one-hour long each, detailing the tumultuous dating lives of Kiesha, Shana, Melissa, Megan and Rachel. Some of these women got knocked up from strangers, others from exes, and others from guys who were just friends, but they are not letting an unplanned pregnancy put a damper on their love lives. LOL.

I feel like in theory this is a bizarre concept for a show, but I think it's going to work. This is coming from someone who literally watches every pregnancy show imagineable though. Pregnant & Heels was my favorite before it got cancelled (RIP, Rosie Pope), I still watch Secret Life of the American Teenager religiously and Married to Medicine (about OBGYNs in Atlanta) is my new Bravo fave. Oh, and don't even get me started on 16 & Pregnant and Teen Mom. Just don't.

So basically what I'm saying is that I am going to watch this show. And I'm not even ashamed. Just think of it like The Bachelor—all those girls have baggage. The women on this show just have it, ya know, in the form of 30 extra lbs of baby weight.
Pregnant & Dating premieres Friday, May 31 at 10pm on WE! Think you're going to watch? Or is this show just way too bizarre of a concept for you? Vote in the poll below and tell us what you think @OKMagazine!
