Since most of our invitees wouldn’t agree to wake up at 4 a.m. to celebrate the big day (and since this isn’t a national holiday, we have to go to work),  we will also be celebrating after the royal wedding. If you’d like to celebrate along with OK!, here’s how to make your bash the grandest of all:

FOOD: Only British-themed food and a wedding cake should be served. If it’s too late to order a mock-wedding cake, stacking different sized circular cakes from your local grocery store will suffice. (If you want to go all out, buy a groom and bride wedding cake topper) For other British treats we recommend scones with jelly, cheese and crackers, cucumber sandwiches cut into triangles (just mix together Italian dressing and cream cheese for the spread), and croque-monsieur (which is basically grilled cheese with ham, typically French but a European treat).

DRINKS: Tea, of course! If you’re looking for something more cocktail-based, James Bond always did love his vodka martinis — "shaken not stirred,” Old Fashioned, scotch and Americano. Or check out OK!'s very own Eloise Parker's cocktail recipes HERE!

GAMES: We came up with this on our own: “Pin the ring on Kate.” It’s simple: You get a poster of Will and Kate (preferably one of their engagement photos), buy a blindfold and sticky blue rhinestones and you have yourself a revamped royal version of “pin the tail on the donkey.” Another game idea is a British-themed charades of British songs, films, celebrities and phrases.

MUSIC: Make yourself a nice iPod playlist of all British bands and musicians to keep a rocking royal theme. Our favorites include: Oasis, Elton John, the Beatles, Lily Allen, The Kooks, Arctic Monkeys, Muse, Franz Ferdinand, Led Zeppelin, Queen, Sting, Pink Floyd, the Sex Pistols, Blur, Morrissey, Cold Play, David Bowie, Duran Duran, The Smiths and Radiohead. It also doesn’t hurt to throw a Spice Girls song in there for some fun (Posh will be at the wedding, after all).

DECORATIONS: There are two clear themes here: British and weddings. Have some fun with it! Decorate the outside of your door with posters of London (a simple Google search turns up places to find them) and a British flag so your partygoers feel like they’re walking into London. Then stock up on wedding supplies for all of your plates, napkins and tablecloth needs from your local party store.

EXAMPLE INVITATION (as approved by our British friends):

Hear ye, hear ye!

Calling all dukes, duchesses, gurus, hipsters, suits, writers, socialites, scenesters, beatniks, princes, princesses, gamers, artists, bloggers, tsars, swingers, emperors and rockers –

The Lord Chamberlain is commanded by The Queen to invite you to celebrate the marriage of His Royal Highness Prince William of Wales and Miss Catherine Middleton at YOUR NAME’S palace at on Friday April 29th.

This party is a tea party, or a high tea as the British call. There will be tea and British-themed food, like crumpets and scones (not to be confused with a biscuit).

RECOMMENDATIONS:

1. Please come in your best British accent (and practice phrases like: “Your gown is smashing! Absolutely brill!”).

2. If you can, wear a crown of some sort or a rather large hat.

3. Cynicism, snobbery and inclement weather are themes of the soiree.

4. If you bring something, make it British!

Cheerio!

And if you do want to wake up early tomorrow to watch, check in with OKmagazine.com — we'll be watching and talking about the wedding from 5:30 a.m. ET onward!
