Not surprisingly, first time father is thrilled by the arrival of his son—the future King of England!
Despite previously admitting Wills was hoping for a little girl, the 31-year-old dad is obviously overjoyed regardless.
William—who is the current second in line to the throne behind his father , kept it short but sweet in the statement he released Monday.
"We could not be happier," he said.
As OKMagazine.com previously reported, Kate gave birth to the royal baby naturally and he arrived at 4.24pm (GMT) after approximately ten hours of labor.
The palace has yet to reveal the baby's name but they did announce William will be spending the night with Kate and their son at St. Mary's Hospital.
Prince Charles is also ecstatic at the arrival of the future King.
"Grandparenthood is a unique moment in anyone's life, as countless kind people have told me in recent months, so I am enormously proud and happy to be a grandfather for the first time," he said in a statement Monday.
