Julian Schnabel is an icon in the art world. As a painter, sculptor, director and has his hand at Interview Magazine he's tapped into all the cool things the rest of us only hear about. OK! caught up with the Golden Globe winning director and we just had to know what it was like making his buzz worthy flick The Diving Bell and the Butterfly.
Are you surprised at all the attention the film is getting?
I’m always surprised by everything all the time. I mean when I’m having fun I’m usually surprised.
What was it like making the film?
It was a great experience.
Can you tell us a bit more about it?
It’s a great story and something that’s important for me to do in terms of my life and my father, who I lost. The actors were incredible and its an insane ride that was always a surprise to me as I was making it.
