R. Kelly Recuperates After Throat Surgery

As a singer, there's probably nothing more frustrating than experiencing health issues with your throat and/or voice. For R. Kelly, this means a hospitalization earlier this week and surgery to drain an abcess from a tonsil! The "I Believe I Can Fly" singer is presently recuperating at home.
It's unknown at the moment whether or not the Grammy winner will be well enough to perform again, as noted by The New York Times. In fact, his spokesperson indicated his appearance at a Jamaican festival this weekend will probably be shelved.

Well, things can literally happen overnight since he went to a hospital in Chicago earlier this week and complained about an extremely sore throat. Doctors operated that afternoon and on Wednesday he was sent home.
