Randy Jackson Inks Deal to Return to 'American Idol' as Judge

Despite countless changes with judges over the years, one judge is remaining intact on American Idol and that's none other than Randy Jackson!
After months of speculation he would hit the dog house to a smaller role on the show, it appears he will indeed return to the judges table. According to Deadline, the deal was pretty straightforward and wrapped up after talks with Enrique Iglesias died on the vine.
Even though Simon Cowell's on The X Factor now, he sounded pretty happy about the big news. He Tweeted, "Just heard Randy is back on Idol. Right decision."

And for someone immersed in the biz (let's not forget that Randy is Mariah Carey's co-manager), he apparently was instrumental in getting her onto the show. We hear that Fox will finalize two more judges this week -- namely Keith Urban and Nicki Minaj. If Mariah has her say, perhaps Lenny Kravitz will join the hit show on Fox?
