NEWS'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' Stars Talk Russell Armstrong's Death on 'Today'

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills premiered last night following the tragic suicide of Taylor Armstrong's estranged husband Russell Armstrong. Stars Lisa Vanderpump, Kyle Richards and Adrienne Maloof went on Today this morning to explain why the show moved forward after his death.

Along with the executive producer of the Bravo show, Lisa, Kyle and Adrienne spoke with Savannah Guthrie on Today this morning about continuing the second season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
"I think we all had to reflect at some point, but then it would really be sweeping suicide under the rug," Adrienne explained about if they had not done the show. "That's what I think we didn't want to do. We wanted to bring it to the forefront."
Russell will not be included in the first two episodes, but the ladies did record interviews that aired before the premiere regarding the tragedy.

And the ladies all say Bravo does not create the drama and the show is more of a documentary.
"We lead and they follow. We kind of create and they document," Lisa explained. "I've never felt responsibility to bring the drama. I think if you follow the lives of six people every year and we've all had major issues over the last year and a half and they just told the accurate story."
Some reports say Russell felt pressure because he knew the collapse of his marriage would be a key part of the second season.
"True," Kyle said about their marriage being a part of the show. "But he also signed up for this season one and came back for season two."
