Things are about to get pretty surreal down on the farm!
The DIY Network announced at the Upfronts earlier this week that 1990s one hit wonder-turned-reality star, Vanilla Ice, will be starring in a new show where he lives among a community of Amish people in a remote location.

Vanilla Ice has transformed himself into a reality star since his second album tanked back in 1994
The Ice Ice Baby singer, real name Robert Van Winkle, will embed himself with the devoutly religious folks in a bid to learn their wood working secrets.
The Amish are a group of traditionalist Christian church fellowships that form a subgroup of the Mennonite churches and are known for living very simply, dressing modestly and plainly, working hard, having a strong work ethic and rejecting the many conveniences of modern technology, such as electricity and cars.

The former rapper has transformed himself into a reality star since his musical career hit the skids after his second album tanked in 1994.

The 45-year-old appeared on a season of The Surreal Life in 1994 before going on to star in a spin-off of the hit VH1 show in 2007 called The Surreal Life: Fame Games.
Most recently he's been gracing the screens on his home renovation series, The Vanilla Ice Project which debuted on the DIY Network on October 2010.
