It’s a family affair during the Beyoncé: Life Is But A Dream premiere held this week at NYC’s Ziegfeld Theater. The no-holds-barred documentary airs Saturday at 9 p.m. ET on HBO.

Her mom, Tina Knowles, sister Solange and hubby Jay-Z turn out to give props to the Destiny's Child singer.

And now it’s director Ed Burke’s turn.

“I think it’s important for people to see her for who she really is, which I think nobody has experienced,” he says. “She is humble, down-to-earth, normal.”

He admits the boat moment he captured with Beyoncé and Jay-Z is the most intimate.

“He is an amazing father,” the director says. “It was the most surprising thing in the whole documentary. He’s in there, and it’s a beautiful thing, as her husband.”
