It’s mutual admiration time when honorees Christina Aguilera and Girls creator Lena Dunham get to know each other at the Time 100 Gala, celebrating the most influential people in the world, held Tuesday at Jazz at Lincoln Center's Frederick P. Rose Hall in NYC.
Christina struts out looking amazing, showing off a tiny waist, when the 26-year-old HBO phenomenon catches her attention.
“I’m a big fan of yours,” Lena tells Christina. “You’re amazing.”
A thrilled Christina, 32, accepts the high praise with a gracious “thank you,” and offers up her own kind words.
Lena gives her a hug, and Christina fans herself before be-bopping off the red carpet, making hand motions.
Hm, could Christina make an appearance on Girls next season?!
According to Time 100 veteran Dr. Oz, a deeper friendship could be in their future.
“I think they would make good friends,” he tells me. “You meet a lot of people at this event that you connect with. I’ll leave here with 4-5 people who I actually want to be friends with, and probably, because of scheduling, I won’t hook up with all of them, but we’ll go to dinner or lunch. You’ll connect. It’s valuable.”

He continues, “I think the most important thing is when folks simulate creative juices at each other, that’s what forms relationships—whether loving ones or regular, fraternal ones. Everybody here could connect in ways that are pretty unimaginable.”
Inside the event, Christina performs a set that boasts Lady Marmalade for a crowd that includes her former Mickey Mouse Club co-star and honoree Justin Timberlake.
The Suit and Tie singer, who brings wife Jessica Biel, dances to the tune with fellow honoree Jimmy Fallon. (Justin wrote the tribute to his pal Jimmy in the current issue of Time, talking about Jimmy’s behavior at his wedding.)
Fun!
