Now that Candice Glover cinched the title of American Idol Thursday, 2012 winner Phillip Phillips is happy to guide her as she begins her exciting new journey.
Hm, what would he tell her?
“Just be yourself,” the Home singer, 22, tells me during a Universal Orlando event. “Have fun, and know what kind of artist you want to be. Don’t be afraid to speak up for yourself. That’s my advice.”

Although Randy Jackson has confirmed—and Nicki Miinaj is hotly tipped—to be leaving the show, this Georgia guy is not interested in taking a judges seat.
“Oh, heck no,” he says. “I don’t really have the right to judge anybody. laughs”
Psst—Jordin Sparks called it first, predicting Candice would be the first female winner since she won in 2007. She was right!
