Reese Witherspoon has been sporting a new hairstyle over the last few weeks, and it's not just because she got bored with her old look. The actress reveals on an upcoming episode of the Graham Norton Show that the bangs are a great way to disguise the bad scar she got from her scary car accident back in September.

"I was jogging and I got hit by a car; it’s not funny at all," Reese tells Graham. "They said I am very hard headed because I landed right on my head and I have a scar, hence my new hairdo."

The actress was left with a bad cut on her forehead and a bruised face after the incident, which she says seems like a distant memory. "I don’t remember much about it," she admits, "but miraculously, and thank God, I am fine."

OK! NEWS: REESE WITHERSPOON RECOVERS AT HOME AFTER BEING HIT BY A CAR

The driver of the car that hit her was an elderly woman, and although Reese refused to press charges, authorities punished the lady for failing to yield to pedestrians. "She was 85, so they took away her license and gave her a bus pass," Reese jokes.

We're glad she's okay and we love her new look!
