Reese Witherspoon can’t stand to be away from her man!

On May 2, the Oscar winner jetted off to Columbia, S.C., where boy-pal Jake Gyllenhaal is currently shooting his upcoming film Nailed, to pay him a visit.

“During a break around 6:30 p.m., Reese was so happy to finally get to spend some time with Jake,” a witness tells OK!. “They were giggling, teasing each other and holding hands the whole time.”

But it wasn’t all play and no work for the couple. Jake, 27, who plays Jessica Biel’s love interest in the flick, had to film a scene in Ebenezer Lutheran Church. And when the shoot went longer than expected, Reese waited anxiously in his trailer for him to wrap.

“Around 11:30 p.m., she was getting pretty impatient,” a set insider tells OK!. “Finally, a makeup woman escorted Reese up the far left aisle of the church to watch Jake finish his scene. She looked really anxious for Jake to wrap up. When he finally wrapped shortly before midnight, they left through a back exit. They were really excited to get out of there — chatting happily and sticking close together.”

The two stuck together the next day too, shopping in nearby Charleston. However, their lovers rendezvous came to an end when Reese, 32, flew to Washington, D.C. for the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer on May 4.
