According to the report, playing the Nirvana singer, who shot himself in 1994, would be R-Pattz's perfect role due to his music background.

Rob has reportedly been in contact with Courtney, Kurt's wife, who the tabloid says is playing a role in the production at Universal Pictures.

With Kristen Stewart having just completed her own music biopic, The Runaways, the report seems to come out at a rather convenient time.
