Rihanna to Appear on Oprah Winfrey's "Next Chapter"

Is Rihanna still dating Chris Brown? Did her alleged romance with Drake cause a big fight in a Manhattan nightclub? How is she dealing with the loss of her grandmother?

You better believe Oprah Winfrey asked all these questions and more when she sat down with the singer last month in Barbados to tape an upcoming episode of Oprah's Next Chapter, which is set to premiere on Aug. 19 on the OWN network.

This will be the two ladies' first formal interview, and it couldn't have come at a better time. Rihanna's had a few huge months. Aside from releasing her sixth studio album in November (Talk That Talk), she starred in her first feature-length film (Battleship) and managed to spend a brief stint in the hospital for "exhaustion" and "dehydration."

Oh, and of course there was the fight at W.i.P nightclub in June, that sources say started when singer Drake taunted ex-boyfriend Chris about bedding Rihanna.

Speaking of Chris, just this past weekend the two had a reported yacht "reunion" when its rumored he flew to St. Tropez and partied with her for a few days on a private boat.

And don't forget their X-rated duet, "Birthday Cake," this past winter.

"I didn’t see how people could think it was a bad thing, you know?" she said to British Esquire about recording a song her abusive ex. "In my mind, it was just music...The attention is something I’ve learned to ignore. This is what I do. I live my life and they document it."
