Robert Pattinson: Ideal Man?

While leagues of devoted Twilight fans would probably give their canine teeth to meet Robert Pattinson, the hot young star is more than humble when it comes to his looks.
“I was embarrassed going into the casting because in the character breakdown, the first line is, 'Edward is the ideal perfect man,’ ” he tells E! News Online of trying out to play high school vampire Edward Cullen. “I literally put it off for five months and then I went in mainly because I had seen Into the Wild and I wanted to meet Kristen Stewart because I thought she was cool. But I felt like an idiot being like, 'Hi, I’m here for the ideal man audition.' "
However even without a rock-hard six-pack, something Stephenie Meyer's leading man is supposed to have, Robert got the part and set about getting in shape.
“I was just trying to lose like every ounce of body fat so when I took off my shirt, I would look like an alien,” Robert says. “I thought that kind of worked for the story. The idea of taking my shirt off and looking like some sort of Adonis? Everyone would just laugh.”

It seems like the 22-year-old rising star, who previously played Cedric Digory in the Harry Potter movies, ended up losing a little too much weight, causing fans to think he might be a little hungry – including a 7-year-old photo seeker in NYC who asked him to pose with her.
“But then she went really quiet and she was like, 'Can you bite me?' ” he reveals.“It wasn’t a joke... I looked at her and thought, 'Do you know what you’re saying?' "
