Rupert Sanders — the philandering Snow White and the Huntsman director caught making out with Kristen Stewart over the summer — has quietly pulled out of directing the sequel.
Insiders say he's taking time out to work on rebuilding his marriage with Liberty Ross, which was no doubt a bummer to the director a Snow White was his biggest gig to date.
While it looks the pair have pulled through, Liberty made a request immediately after the affair surfaced that he stay far away from Kristen going forward.
“Liberty let it be known in no uncertain terms that Rupert can’t direct the sequel to Snow White and the Huntsman,” an insider revealed. “They are trying to work things out after he was caught having an affair, and that is one of the sticking points. She just doesn’t want him to ever work with Kristen again."

It was rumored over the summer that the franchise would dump Kristen, keep Rupert and bypass an awkwardness by shooting a flick revolving around Chris Hemsworth's huntsman character.
No replacement director has been named nor is there an estimated release date for the movie.
