Ryan O’Neal announced on Friday that he has been diagnosed with prostate cancer. Fortunately, new reports reveal that the actor’s physicians have an optimistic outlook on his recovery.

“According to my extraordinary team of doctors the prognosis is positive for a full recovery,” the 70-year-old revealed to Gossip Cop.
The A Bridge Too Far star was lucky enough to catch his stage 4 prostate cancer early on for treatment and has loved ones around him to boost his spirits.

“I am deeply grateful for the support of my friends and family during this time,” the L.A. native added.

Ryan has actually beat cancer once before. The Academy Award winner has been in remission from leukemia since 2006.
