News of Reese Witherspoon and Jim Toth's engagement has caused quite a commotion! The duo announced their exciting plans to tie the knot yesterday, adding them to a flurry of other celebrities who got engaged this holiday weekend! So how does that make Reese's ex-hubby and father of her two children, Ryan Phillippe, feel about the new man in her life?

While Reese and Ryan divorced in 2006, after seven years together, the exes share custody of their two children, Ava, 11, and Deacon, 7.

Both actors have had long term relationships since their split — Reese with Jake Gyllenhaal and Ryan with Abbie Cornish who he was rumored to have an affair with while married to Reese.

But the Oscar winner's engagement to Jim marks the first time either of them will take a second trek down the aisle.

The CAA agent is often out and about with Ava and Deacon, fitting in quite nicely with the family.

As Jim begins to play a more active role in Ava and Deacon's lives, we wonder if Ryan approves of Reese's fiancé as a step-dad to his kids?

As far as Ryan's latest dating status, he has been spotted out and about with young actress Amanda Seyfried.
