This weekend is the perfect time to go check out a new movie with your sweetie, as Valentine's Day is rapidly approaching! So, which new film will you go see? The romantic movie The Vow starring Channing Tatum and Rachel McAdams or the action thriller Safe House starring Ryan Reynolds and Denzel Washington?

Well, OK! chatted with David Guggenheim, the writer of Safe House, at the Universal Pictures world premiere of his film in NYC last night, and he shared why Safe House is the right choice!

"You want to get your adrenaline pumping. I think that’s something to kick-start the romance going," David explained to OK!. "You see the movie, your hearts pumping, and you’re like, ‘I’ve got to get this adrenaline out somehow.’ "

And if that isn't enough of a reason, there is also a little love story in the film — and Ryan... shirtless!

"Yes, there’s a love story. And there’s Ryan Reynolds topless in a shower. There are Valentine’s Day reasons, for sure," he said. "And you have a little bit of a bromance with Denzel and Ryan, so it’s all good."

He certainly makes a compelling argument.

Still, Channing is showing the goods in The Vow. He's going shirtless and showing his bare butt!

He admitted to E! News that his shirtless was gratuitous, but his bare-butt scene was "necessary."

And his real-life wife, Jenna Dewan, agreed!

"I was like, 'There's his butt on the screen.' But it's completely screen-worthy.... It's definitely going to be something people rewind and play," she said.

Decisions, decisions. Which film will you see for Valentine's Day?
