SAG Award Winners: 'The King's Speech' Rules Over 'The Social Network'

Forget about Facebook's reign in the 21st century — the rule of King George VI’s pre-World War II rise to power is eminent right now— well at least according to Hollywood. The King's Speech came out on top at last night's SAG Awards, nabbing the statue for Best Picture for it's ensemble cast — Colin Firth, Geoffrey Rush and Helena Bonham Carter — and overthrowing the Golden Globe-crowned winner The Social Network.

Other big winners at last night's ceremony included Natalie Portman, Christian Bale, Betty White, and Alec Baldwin.

The King’s Speech took home the top prize at the Director's Guild awards Saturday night as well.
