Looks like there's a new frontrunner in the race to play the handsome and cocky Finnick Odair in The Hunger Games sequel, Catching Fire.
Kristen Stewart's Snow White and the Huntsman co-star Sam Claflin is up for the role, Variety reports, saying his odds of nabbing it are pretty strong.

Finnick is the youngest tribune to ever win The Hunger Games at 14 years old and becomes an unlikely ally to Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) in the Quarter Quell. (If you don't know what that is, you have a year to read the book!)
Also reportedly on the shortlist of actors up for pivotal roles in Catching Fire are Oscar-winning actress Melissa Leo, who's being considered to play Mags, and Tony Shaloub, who is up for the part of Beetee.

Although none of the actors' reps or Lionsgate have commented on the casting news, it sounds like the producers are slowly making their choices.
