Sarah Palin the News Commentator: Coming to a TV Near You

With her stint as Alaska governor and GOP vice presidential candidate over, it seems Sarah Palin is taking on a new role — as a news commentator for Fox News, the channel announced today.
"I am thrilled to be joining the great talent and management team at Fox News," Sarah said in a statement posted on FoxNews.com. "It's wonderful to be part of a place that so values fair and balanced news."
As part of her new multi-year deal, Sarah will offer her views and analysis on political issues of the day on Fox, as well as their Web site, Fox News Radio and Fox Business Channel.

Sarah's duties will also include hosting episodes of Real American Stories, a new series on the network that will spotlight true stories of Americans overcoming obstacles.
"Governor Palin has captivated everyone on both sides of the political spectrum and we are excited to add her dynamic voice to the FOX News lineup," Bill Shine, executive vice president of programming, said in a statement.
Sarah's latest foray into the world has been with her memoire, Going Rogue, released four months after she stepped down as Alaska's governor.
