Kate Middleton spent all day yesterday celebrating the christening of her son, Prince George. While it was definitely a happy affair, it was surely a bit stuffy and serious. So what did she wear to her next official appearance?

Yesterday it was all about a formal, cream-colored suit by Alexander McQueen, with a matching fascinator to boot. Today, she wore a beautiful midnight blue gown for the 100 Women in Hedge Funds Benefit Gala. She kept the accessories minimal, with a simple bracelet and of course, that giant sapphire engagement ring.

The designer? Jenny Packham, obviously. Kate loves picking her simple yet impossibly elegant dresses for her fanciest occasions, and this was no exception. Also standard in the Kate arsenal is her bouncy waves and clean make-up. Maybe next time try a smoky eye, Kate? Just for us!
