Lady Gaga is slowly emerging from her self-imposed hiatus as she prepares to launch her new single on August 19, followed by her full "ARTPOP" album release in November.

Fans were especially delighted when the above short snippet of one of the 27-year-old superstar's upcoming videos was leaked to the web.

Furthering the mystery surrounding her new sound, Mother Monster has shared a picture of her latest accessory—a pierced septum.

Of course, Lady Gaga is no stranger to controversy, but it seems her Little Monsters are having mixed reactions to their idol's metamorphosis.

Some even went as far as suggesting Gaga looked sick in this new selfie she posted to her Little Monsters website wearing no makeup and an off-the-shoulder top.

It remains to be seen whether this is the look Lady Gaga's is gravitating toward or it's just a layover on the way to a totally different style to match the mood of her new music.

What is certain? "ARTPOP" is a total labor of love and Gaga has put her heart and soul into her soon-to-be-released songs.
