Sharon Osbourne Underwent a Double Mastectomy

The former America's Got Talent judge dropped a bombshell in a new interview and as it turns out, Sharon Osbourne underwent a double mastectomy.

As for the reason why, she made the decision after learning that she carries the breast cancer gene which essentially increases the risk of developing the disease.

She told Hello! magazine, "For me, it wasn’t a big decision, it was a no-brainer: I didn't want to live the rest of my life with that shadow hanging over me."

If she didn't have the procedure done, Sharon indicated "the odds" would not have been in her favor to be healthy. s a decision I made that's got rid of this weight that I was carrying around." Keep in mind this cancer survivor (she beat colon cancer over 10 years ago), said she "didn't want to live under that cloud."

She just decided to "take everything off."

So, maybe her cutie patootie granddaughter Pearl had something to do with her decision?

Sharon stated, "I didn’t even think of my breasts in a nostalgic way. I just wanted to be able to live my life without that fear all the time."
