
Sharon Stone's 'Basic Instinct' Is to Support Friend Michael Douglas

While Michael Douglas battles throat cancer he'll have the complete support of his good friend, Sharon Stone.

When Sharon first found out her co-star was diagnosed with a throat tumor, her "basic instinct" was to worry.
"I was of course very, very concerned because he's very dear and important to me," Sharon told Extra. But, she said, "I feel absolutely certain that he will beat this."

"We have been friends a long time, and I'm very much in his corner," she explained. "I wanted to make sure that he was getting the best possible care, which he is, and that his prognosis was good, which it is."
But Sharon isn't the only woman watching out for Michael, she says the actor's marriage to Catherine Zeta-Jones is the best support he can get!
"He really married the right woman," Sharon said. "And I think that when you have the best person standing beside you, there's nothing more curative than love."
