We know those PLL girls can put an outfit together, but who knew they would go as far as to make sure their beauty products matched their clothes and accessories?! Now that's what we'd like to call total fashion and beauty dedication. Pretty Little Liars star Shay Mitchell (also known as Emily Fields, for all you Rosewood fanatics) is taking beauty personalization to the next level with her partnership with Carmex Moisture Plus. The beauty company has launched a new collection of lip balms decked out in fun prints and patterns, and they're right up Shay's alley.
We caught up with Shay and got the scoop on the new beauty launch, along with some need-to-know info on tonight's PLL Halloween special and the upcoming Christmas episode. Take a look below!
OK! Magazine: Tell us about your partnership with Carmex.
Shay Mitchell: Fashion is something that I love being a part of. I think fashion, along with beauty, should be fun and not taken too seriously. It’s kind of cool because now they have this really fun exterior packaging to it that you can literally take with you and have one to fit your mood or the outfit that you’re wearing. I love that. I love personalizing things to what I’m wearing or what I’m in the mood for. It is something that all of us use on a daily basis and now we can have so much more fun with it.
OK!: Speaking of fun, we know from Instagram that you’re really into boxing. What do you love about it?
SM: For me, boxing is like a therapy session. When I’m boxing or when I’m dancing, you literally don’t have any time to think about anything else. You have to be in the moment. I think that’s I really enjoy about it the most. When I’m hitting, I’m not thinking about anything else—I’m just focusing on getting the next move or the next combo.

OK!: What are some post-gym beauty secrets you have? What do you have to have in your bag?
SM: Post or pre, I love a tinted moisturizer. It kind of covers up that little impurities on your skin, and it’s also a great moisturizer. I use the one by Jouer. I love a bit of SPF and lip balm and you’re good to go.
OK!: Tell us what we can expect from the Pretty Little Liars Halloween episode.
SM: It’s a different take than we’ve ever done before. Usually we do a Halloween episode but this season we decided to do a Christmas episode. For the Halloween episode, we wanted to get all the girls together and we did a big Q&A. The fans got to ask questions and we answered them. We also brought back some beloved characters.
OK!: Why do you think Marlene King and the producers decided to do a Christmas special this year instead of your usual Halloween one?

SM: I think it’s because we’ve already done the Halloween episode. Christmas was a holiday that everybody loves and we thought it would be really fun to show what Christmas is like in Rosewood this year.
OK!: In the preview for the Halloween fan special, we see Troian Bellisario say that she knows who "A" is. Do you know yet or is she the only one?
SM: I don’t know who else knows. I definitely don’t. I think it’s very brave of them to know who "A" is and not to say anything. I wouldn’t be able to do that, so that’s why I choose not to ask the producers or the writers.

OK!: Which PLL death made you the saddest and why?
SM: That’s tough. I would have to say Mona, because I love working with Janel Parrish, but it’s kind of awesome because now I get to watch her on Dancing with the Stars.
OK!: Which of the people is taking Mona's death the hardest when things pick up for the Christmas special?
SM: I think it would be all of them. I think Hanna was probably the closest to Mona, so she might have that hit a little bit harder.
OK!: Was it fun dressing up in winter ball clothes instead of Halloween costumes for once?
SM: It was really fun. I always love dressing up, so that was great. Dressing up in winter gear in 100 degree weather outside was very interesting. It was sweltering hot outside so we were all profusely sweating. It was an experience. It was one we won’t forget.
OK!: The guys will be wearing Santa boxers in the episode. Which guy looks the best in them?
SM: They all do. They’re all so good-looking. They all look amazing. I could not pick one of the boys.
