Sheree Whitfield Won't Return Next Season To 'Real Housewives of Atlanta'

After four seasons and a particularly stressfull reunion special, Sheree told Wetpaint.com today that she won't be returning to the franchise for a season five.

While many speculated the single mother with several shelved business plans was fired, Sheree instead told the news outlet that she's grown tired of the "fighting and cattiness."

"I have decided to leave. The direction the show is going in is no longer a fit for my lifestyle," she said. "I want to be part of something that empowers and inspires women to not only be healthy, but to treat themselves with respect. I wish the rest of the women the best of luck. I’m thrilled to say I’m now a free agent and am already fielding offers."

Sheree was incredibly gracious and upbeat on Twitter this afternoon, thanking fans for their well wishes and promising her loyal viewers that she's had "several" doors open since her decision to depart the series.

As for her former castmates? Kim Zolciak told the Twitterverse that she would "definitely" be back for season five, while none of the other women seem to have paid much attention to Sheree's announcement.
