For slender young star Shia LeBeouf, having the chance to work with megawatt co-star Harrison Ford in the film Indiana Jones: Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was well worth the weight gain required for the role.
"I put on about 20 pounds in 4-½ months," the 21-year-old actor explained at The Adventures of 106 and Indiana Jones presented by BET in Harlem on Tuesday night.
But unlike other actors who put on weight by slamming down donuts, Shia says he did it "through exercise, training and motorcycle training and swordfighting and strength training... Insane stuff.”
So was it all worth it? “I’m very blessed and fortunate to be able to work with Harrison,”
he said.
