Simon Cowell Is a Father! Find Out About His New Baby

Simon Cowell is having a very special Valentine's Day. His girlfriend, Lauren Silverman, has given birth to a baby boy today in New York City. The X Factor and former American Idol host has yet to comment on the happy arrival.

Silverman went into labor earlier today, and E! News reports that Cowell hopped on a private plane from London to be present in New York for the birth. He made it in time and was by her side for the delivery. There's no word on a name yet, but Cowell had said the couple had it picked out for months.

Silverman's pregnancy caused a bit of a scandal when it was announced last summer. Cowell's now-girlfriend was still married to Cowell's best friend at the time. Wonder how he explained that one? They seem pretty happy together now, though. We can't wait to see Simon Cowell as a dad!
