Jay Pharoah is known for his impersonations of celebrities on Saturday Night Live and one that always stands out is Kanye West.

OK! caught up with Jay at the Lola Versus premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival in NYC and he opened up about meeting the famous rapper.

"It was cool meeting Kanye," Jay said. "It was very bright. He had on a red suit and it hurt my eyes and a lot of chains. Whoa, I got metal poisoning."

"He seemed cool, man. He wasn’t like a butt hole or nothing like that. I mean, he was just laid back and cool. I did Jay-Z for him and he laughed. I said, 'I made Kanye laugh. Cookie for the day!' Yeah, I had a cookie."

What does he think of Kanye's flourishing relationship with Kim Kardashian?

Jay didn't originally know about their joint nickname "Kimye," but decided it didn't sound so great.

"That sounds like some drink that you’ll never wake up from after you finish it," he remarked. "Kimye, what are my well wishes? I wish it well. I hope they bloom and flower and I hope it’s not a made-in-China relationship."

After the premiere, Jay went to the official after-party with his cast at 1920 Bunker Club hosted by BR Guest.
