Snoop Dogg has set his sights on a concert tour in Australia in October with Ice Cube, but there's one small problem – he has to be approved for a visa first.

The Associated Press reports that the rap legend, born Cordozar Calvin Broadus Jr., withdrew his application for an Aussie visa last year after he pled no contest to drug and gun charges in the U.S. last year.

Now the Australian government says it is conducting a character assessment of Snoop to decide whether or not he should be granted the visa necessary for the tour. A preliminary assessment has already gone through.

''The department has now decided to do a full assessment of the character of Mr. Broadus, and the department has begun this assessment,'' a spokesman said.

Good luck, Snoop!
