Fans of So You Think You Can Dance learned some shocking news on New Year's Day when executive producer Nigel Lythgoe Tweeted that FOX had cancelled the results show night.
Nigel Tweeted, "#FOX have cancelled the results show so I will have to change the format of #SYTYCD. At least we have another season at the end of MAY."
This immediately sent fans into an uproar. How could they have a dance competition without a results night?

Nigel tried to appease fans by following up with, "I'm certainly not mad at FOX they have supported #SYTYCD FOR 9 seasons. With the help of Mike Darnell I think we have some great new ideas."
The truth is So You Think You Can Dance did take a hit in the ratings last season, with competition from America's Got Talent, among others. But we're not quite sure how this show will work airing just one night a week.
