Sophia Bush Mourns Loss of Cousin in Tucson Shooting

Amidst the heartbreak of six slain in the attempted assassination of Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, the celeb world is not immune to its ties. The nine-year-old victim, Christina Green, was related to One Tree Hill star Sophia Bush.

In response to the supermarket rampage Sophia tweeted, "She was my 2nd cousin... Devastating...RT @nytimes: 9-Year-Old Victim Was a 9/11 Baby, a ‘Face of Hope'. She added, "There are no words to explain what my cousin's family is going through in Arizona. How can this be? Violence is never the answer..."

Christina was also the daughter of a supervising scout for the Los Angeles Dodgers and the granddaughter of Dallas Green. Dallas is a former Major League Baseball player and former manager of the Yankees, Mets and Phillies.

Her father told Today that she was still alive when they got to the hospital after the bullet soared through her back. "She was a fighter but there was nothing we could do... As a family we wish we had the chance to be there with her, support her, help her while she was down."
