"Spider-Man 4" Spins Into Theaters in Spring 2011

If you've been breathlessly awaiting the arrival of Spider-Man 4, hold your breath for about 19.5 more months: Columbia Pictures has finally set the film's release date for May 5, 2011.

Tobey Maguire will return as Spidey himself, with off-again on-again love interest of Mary Jane once more being played by Kirsten Dunst. Director Sam Raimi is also on board. Getting those key people involved in the project apparently caused the delay between the third and fourth installments.

Filming reportedly starts early next year.
