Stars Get a Laugh at the Comedy Awards in NYC

Last night’s first annual Comedy Awards brought some of the funniest actors to NYC for the hilarious show, where the wittiest men and women in entertainment were honored for their laugh-out-loud, comedic chops.
Jon Stewart, Andy Samberg, Olivia Munn, Stephen Colbert, Bill Heder, Will Ferrell, Ty Burrell, Tina Fey, and Two and a Half Men’s John Cryer all showed up for the taped presentation, set to air in early April on Comedy Central.

Pop Eater reports that late night talk show host, David Letterman, was presented with the Johnny Carson Awards for Comedic Excellence, while Eddie Murphy was given the Comedy Icon Award of the evening.
Modern Family’s Ty Burrell accepted the award for Best Comedy Series on behalf of his cast mates.

Will Ferrell also took home a nod for his co-stars in the Other Guys, winning Best Comedy Movie.
30 Rock’s Alec Baldwin was honored with Best TV Actor, while Kristen Wiig accepted Best TV Actress.
