Steve Jobs Resigns as Apple CEO; Celebs Tweet Reactions

Yesterday after Steve Jobs resigned as CEO of Apple after taking his second medical leave of absence in two years earlier this year, he mentioned he'll continue to be involved in "major strategic decisions" for the company. Needless to say,  the Twittersphere was buzzing and celebrity tweets were no exception.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Arnold Schwarzenegger tweeted, "Steve Jobs is one of California's greatest innovators. Very few achieved his impact over the last 50 years and probably the next 100 years."

Alyssa Milano paid her tribute to Steve by quoting him on her twitter feed: "I want to put a ding in the universe. ~Steve Jobs #quote."

Among other celebs, Web Soup host Chris Hardwick tweeted he wasn't at all surprised by the big announcement. "Steve Jobs resigns as Apple CEO ... #NotSurprising #DontFreakOutAppleNerds."

As for Paul Scheer, an actor on The League, he joked, "Steve Jobs resigns reportedly to enter the Matrix. Cue Rage Against the Machine and watch him fly away in a black turtleneck."
