Even though American Idol execs swear judges Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj aren't feuding, last season's mentor, Stevie Nicks, felt the urge to tell the world exactly what she'd do if her names was Mariah Carey.

"How dare this little girl," Stevie began, referencing Nicki's outburst. "If I had been Mariah I would have walked over to Nicki and strangled her to death right there."
As legend goes, Nicki lost her temper and went on full diva mode, telling the singer she wanted to "knock Mariah out."
“I would have killed her in front of all those people and had to go to jail for it," the Fleetwood Mac singer declared.
Not missing a beat, Mariah allegedly told Barbara Walters she was hiring extra security just in case Nicki really does release the crazy, which certainly added an extra layer of drama.

Meanwhile, ex-judge Steven Tyler says the fight rumors are "of course" a ploy for ratings and the Pink Friday singer herself has said she and Mariah's "strong personalities" will "make for great TV."

One person who isn't the least bit fazed (aside from creator Simon Fuller who is no doubt drooling from all the press) is new judge Keith Urban.
"I love it, i gotta say. I love working with passionate people I love artists," he gushed. "Everyone just sort of expressing themselves. It's a very alive and very invigorating work environment. A lot of passion."
