Ted Williams' Message to America: "Don't Forget Me"

Ted Williams is making a plea to the millions of Americans who fell in love with his story. The Columbus, Ohio panhandler-turned Internet sensation walked into our hearts with his golden voice, and is now taking a hiatus from stardom to get well in rehab. Before he left, Ted delivered a message to fans.

"Hey America, I'm going to get well," Ted told Entertainment Tonight before he left for rehab. "All I ask is that you don't forget me, please."

Ted, who realized he needed help battling his addictions with alcohol after spending some time with Dr. Phil, will be spending time at Origins Recovery Center in South Padre Island, Texas.

"I'm getting a good start. Dr. Phil, best man in the world, and who else wouldn't take advice from Dr. Phil. I'm not through yet. I'm on my way to treatment," said.
