Despite not being able to appear on a special with Dr. Drew, Teen Mom star Amber Portwood was able to get her two cents in by releasing a lengthy statement from prison.
The MTV-featued mother of 3-year-old Leah has been in and out of jail over the past few years, and this past May she voluntarily chose to go behind bars instead of going to a rehabilitation facility for drug problems.
According to GossipCop, Amber said she "just got lost." Taking responsibility for her actions, she pointed out she has to "grow up quicker and start acting like a mother. I see pictures of Leah and I think about where I went wrong and how I can fix it so she can be proud of me."

It sounds like she's pretty focused on sobriety: “Right now, my No. 1 priority in life is dedicating my life to being sober; to being a sober person," she said, adding, "and to show my daughter that people make mistakes but you can always come back."
