Betty White has been taking the top lately in comedy, but it's Tina Fey who's being honored with the Kennedy Center for the Performing Art's Mark Twain Prize for American Humor.
"I am truly thrilled to receive this honor," Tina said in a written statement, the Associated Press reports. "I assume Betty White was disqualified for steroid use."
At 40, the 30 Rock star is the youngest to receive the award joining Whoopi Goldberg, Neil Simon, Lily Tomlin, Bill Cosby, Bob Newhart, Steve Martin, George Carlin and Lorne Michaels.
"Like Mark Twain, Tina Fey offers her brilliance unconditionally," Kennedy Center Chairman David M. Rubenstein told the Washington Post. "Throughout her career, she's earned legions of fans for her quick, unapologetic wit and social commentary."
Tina will be presented with the award on Nov. 9 in Washington, D.C.
Congratulations to Tina!
