TLC Sues Jon Gosselin and Calls Him a Liar

TLC filed a lawsuit Friday in Maryland against Jon Gosselin for breaching his contract on Jon & Kate Plus 8, according to TMZ.
The lawsuit claims that Jon's real reason for getting a court to stop production on the show wasn't the welfare of his children, but rather a move to force the network into releasing him from an exclusivity contract.
Documents filed in a Maryland court this morning allege that on the day TLC removed Jon from Jon & Kate Plus 8 and announced it would become simply Kate Plus 8 at the end of this season, his lawyer contacted the cable network and demanded that his client be released from the "exclusivity" provision in his contract. If TLC refused, claims the suit, Jon would get a court to intervene and shut down production in the name of the Gosselin kids' well-being.
