Tom Hanks, Meg Ryan, Jon Hamm & More Attend Memorial Service for Nora Ephron in NYC

A handful of Hollywood greats stepped out in NYC today to celebrate the life of the late Nora Ephron at a memorial service at Lincoln Center.
Nora, famous for writing films like When Harry Met Sally, Sleepless in Seattle and You've Got Mail, passed away at the age of 71 after losing her heartbreaking battle with leukemia on June 26.

Some of Nora's favorite actors and actresses, including her friends Tom Hanks, Meg Ryan, Meryl Streep, and Jon Hamm, all attended the service, which brought out A-listers from the East and West coast.
Also in attendance — according to the New York Times — were Bette Midler, Matthew Broderick, Jennifer Westfeldt, Steven Spielberg, Lorne Michaels, Steve Martin, Martha Stewart, Barbara Walters, Diane Sawyer, Gayle King, Regis Philbin with his wife Joy, Diane Von Fursternberg and Sally Field.

On the program were 11 speakers, among them Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson, Nora’s son Jacob Bernstein, and Rosie O’Donnell, who read an excerpt from Love, Loss, and What I Wore, a play by Nora and her sister, Delia. Martin Short also spoke on behalf of the beloved screenwriter, calling her "sudden, original and hilarious."
