'The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1' Beats 'The Muppets' at Box Office

Twi-hards will be happy, but Muppet lovers may want to step up their game! The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 earned the top spot at the box office over the holiday weekend.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Breaking Dawn earned $62.3 million from Wednesday to Sunday.
In total, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 has grossed $221.3 million in 10 days and, yes, it's as impressive at it sounds. The Twilight Saga: Eclipse earned $214.3 million after 10 days.
The film is now expected to earn at least $300 million by the time its run is finished.

But The Muppets didn't do all that bad at the box office over the weekend. The Disney film came in second place with $42.3 million and has its advantage at being friendly for all ages.
In third place was Happy Feet Two, followed by Arthur Christmas and Hugo.
